At Nivalis Energy Systems, we’re transforming how refrigerated trailers operate – offering a zero-emission alternative to diesel-powered Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs). Our advanced battery systems are designed for seamless integration, whether you’re retrofitting existing trailers or outfitting new ones. Compatible with variety of trailer sizes and configurations, our solution supports both fully electric models and diesel backup configurations for maximum flexibility.
Established in 2020 under the leadership of Townsend Capital, Nivalis Energy Systems was founded with the objective of integrating established tier 1 automotive components into heavy-duty battery systems to ensure resilient operations using proven products.

NIVALIS Global Footprint

In 2026, Nivalis Energy Systems acquired SolarEdge e-Mobility, operating now under the name Nivalis Energy Europe, which has more than 25 years track record in the automotive e-Mobility industry, and started electrification of trailers in 2023. With this acquisition, Nivalis Energy Systems gained access not only to the sustainability-driven European market but also photovoltaic and e-axle technology to improve efficiency and financial impact of the electrification kit.
Leveraging multi-year experience in commercial vehicle electrification systems and the profound automotive and extensive lithium-ion battery expertise of our dedicated team, our mission is centred on innovation and the deployment of a scalable, environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and automotive-grade solution geared towards achieving 100% electrified cold logistics.
